Privacy Policy

Gunja Consulting, Inc. ("we", "us") operates S4 Contracts. This policy explains what we collect when you use s4contracts.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address, name, and a password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
• Candidate profile: headline, summary, location, years of experience, SAP modules, skills, contract preferences, phone number and LinkedIn URL if you add them, and your resume file if you upload one.
• Employer details: your company name, website, description, and the content of jobs you post.
• Job alerts: your email address and the filters you choose.
• Messages: anything you send us by email.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: which jobs you view, apply to, save, or search for, and the pages you visit. We assign a random visitor identifier (a cookie named jb_vid) so that views and apply clicks are counted once per visitor per day, and a first-touch attribution cookie (jb_attr) that records how you arrived at the Site (for example, a search engine or a campaign link).
• Device data: browser type, device category (phone, tablet, desktop), and IP address, which we use to derive approximate location and to protect the Site from abuse.
• Google Analytics: when enabled, Google collects standard analytics data under its own policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

We do not collect payment card numbers; if we introduce paid products, payment details are handled by our payment processor and never stored by us.

2. How we use it

• To run the Site: show jobs, keep you signed in, save jobs, send the alerts you asked for.
• To build your profile: when you upload a resume we use an AI service to extract your headline, skills, experience and modules so you can review and edit them. The resume is used only to pre-fill your profile and, if you choose, to share with employers.
• To moderate and classify listings: job descriptions, including ones employers post, are processed by an AI service to assign categories, contract terms and rates.
• To send transactional email: alert confirmations, job digests, notices about jobs you post. You can unsubscribe from alerts with one click.
• To measure and improve the Site: aggregate statistics on views, applications, searches and signups.
• To protect the Site and comply with law.

3. What is public

• Candidate profiles are shown in the talent directory only if you leave "List me in the talent directory" switched on. The public card shows your initials, headline, summary, location, experience, modules, skills and contract preferences. Your name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL and resume are never public; they are shared only with employers who have database access and only when you have made your profile visible. You can hide your profile or delete it at any time.
• Employer company pages and job postings are public and are included in search engines and in job feeds such as Google for Jobs.

4. Who we share with

• Employers: as described above, and when you apply to a job we send you to the employer's own site, which has its own privacy policy. For jobs with on-site application forms, your application is shared with that employer.
• Service providers that process data on our behalf: Google (Firebase hosting, database, authentication and file storage; Google Analytics if enabled), Anthropic (AI classification of job descriptions and resume parsing), Resend (email delivery), and, when paid products launch, Stripe (payments). Each is bound by its own terms to use the data only to provide the service.
• Legal: when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Site.
• Business transfers: if the Site is sold or merged, data may transfer to the successor under this policy.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers.

5. Job listings from other sites

Most listings on the Site are collected from employers' own career sites. They contain only the information the employer published, and the "Apply" link takes you to the employer. We are not affiliated with those employers or with SAP SE.

6. Retention

• Account and profile data: until you delete your account, or after three years of inactivity.
• Resumes: until you remove them or delete your account.
• Usage events: 13 months; aggregated daily statistics are kept indefinitely.
• Job alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Email logs: as kept by our email provider, typically 30 days.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access, correct, export or delete your data from your account pages, or by emailing us at support@s4contracts.com. We respond within 30 days.
• Marketing and alerts: unsubscribe links are in every alert email.
• Cookies: you can block cookies in your browser; the Site works without them, but views may be counted more than once.
• Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other US states with privacy laws have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To exercise your rights, email support@s4contracts.com; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
• Residents of the EEA, UK and Switzerland: our legal bases are performance of our contract with you (running your account), legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site, aggregate analytics), and consent (job alerts, optional analytics). You may withdraw consent, object to processing, and complain to your local supervisory authority. Data is processed in the United States.

8. Security

Data is stored on Google Cloud in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Resumes are in private storage and accessible only through authenticated, time-limited links. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

The Site is for professionals and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights we will email account holders first.
