About the Role
We’re seeking a Classification and Controls Supervisor to lead global trade compliance operations and manage SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) processes at our global headquarters in Allentown, PA. This role ensures accurate classification of materials, reviews shipments for regulatory compliance, and oversees a team responsible for embargo, sanctioned party, and licensing checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise global team handling GTS/SPL blocks and Harmonized Tariff Number (HTN)/Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) classifications.
- Manage SAP GTS workflows for export/import compliance.
- Classify materials and maintain ECCN and HTN codes.
- Review and clear blocked orders; escalate issues as needed.
- Collaborate on system enhancements and compliance projects.
- Submit license applications and maintain regulatory records.
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in SAP GTS and SAP ECC/HANA.
- Strong knowledge of trade compliance; U.S. export/import regulation experience.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, related field, or certifications.
Preferred Skills
- Strategic mindset and ability to lead global teams.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
